Svilen Georgiev is a prominent contemporary pointillist based in London.
Svilen is a London-based, Bulgarian painter originally from Varna, on the Black Sea coast. He is a master of pointillism, a painting technique that involves creating an image through the use of small, distinct dots of colour. Svilen's artwork is highly regarded for its intricate details, vibrant colours, and incredible depth.
Svilen was born into a working-class family and his decision to become an artist came after watching a Van Gogh film as a child. After that, he continued to study and at the "Dobri Hristov" National School of Arts in his hometown. Svilen's dedication to his craft was evident from an early age and he spent countless hours perfecting his technique. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sculpture and pedagogy at the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Veliko Tarnovo. After graduation, he taught sculpture, drawing and plastic anatomy for 10 years at the art school which he graduated ealier in Varna, Bulgaria. At the same time, he volunteered as a teacher with the School for Disadvantaged Children and Young People "Daedalus" in the same city.
Svilen's works have been exhibited in galleries and museums across Europe, and his paintings are held in private collections all over the world. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the art world.
In 2020 he relocated to London seeking new inspiration and opportunities. Despite his international recognition, Svilen remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to create breathtaking works of art that captivate viewers and inspire other artists.
